Week 15!

Picture First:

I am 15 weeks today! I have felt flutters in my tummy every now and again, but nothing big yet. Not even one kick that I said, "yep, that is Peep!" SHE/he will be making HERSELF/himself known soon though ;). If "it" isn't a she we will have to change the name. I'm not sure if "peep" is very manly?! But then again, neither is "sweet, sweet!" Ah well, a baby is a baby!

My second appointment is April 6th! I scheduled it early in the morning again because it was super easy last time. I was in, out, and home before Josh had to leave for work. This time I'll have to get blood drawn though, so he may have to drop DG off. Anyway, I am excited about this appointment. I get to schedule my ultrasound at this appointment! Yah! I have gained 4-5lbs which puts me EXACTLY where I was with Gabriel. It is funny to think I weigh the exact same now as I did with him.

I have not purchased anything yet for this baby. By this time with Gabriel I had purchased a few things. It is a little different because I already have the diaper bag and baby necessities. All I need to know is boy or girl! When I know I'll get the room started. I'll buy clothes if it's a girl, but I'll have everything I need for a boy. This baby and Gabriel will be born in the same season, so clothes sizes will match up. With this in mind, even if it is a girl, I think "it" will be wearing some of the same clothing (PJ's at least). For this reason I am hoping for a girl. I would love to shop for girly clothes and paint a girly room across the hall from Gabriel's boy room! Anyway, we shall find out soon enough. This pregnancy is going by fairly quickly so far.

What else is going on?! I FINALLY got pictures for frames I bought about 2 months ago (possibly even longer then that..). I'm creating a hallway of pictures. Originally my plan was to purchase three very large gallery wraps: 1- Josh and I, 2- Maternity, 3- Family, but that sort of fell through when I could not decide on which ones! I can be pretty indecisive at times (especially when it comes down to spending a couple hundred bucks on wraps!). I also thought baby #2 would feel fairly slighted if she/he did not have a large photo on the wall. This way everyone will be happy and I can add to it whenever I want. Also, I thought the wall of photos looked pretty cool at Aunt Linda's house. Thanks for the idea Auntie!

I think that is all I can drum up. I'll post after my appointment on the 6th and let ya'll know when the ultrasound will be!!!!! Praying for 2 weeks after the 6th because I'll be 18 weeks, and that is when I found out with Gabriel.

Mr. Man

Gabriel has been enjoying the weather (until recently, because it has been rainy and cold)! I have a lot of pictures of him at the barn, helping his daddy, and just playing outside in his car. Josh actually got on a horse for the first time the other day. I believe he actually enjoyed it too! We may have to have a farm one day. I could totally see us on a farm with horses =). I know it sounds more surreal than it is. Farm work is WORK! I would enjoy it though, because of times like these:

Gabriel's vocabulary is picking up these days. He has added, pizza, coffee, baby, and what's this to his list. He LOVES pizza! He'll see the box and say, "pizza, pizza!" The coffee word was only said once. He asked me, "what's this?" pointing to my coffee mug. I said, "coffee," and he turns and says, "oh, coffee!" It was pretty funny. He is quite the character and loves being the center of attention, but only when he is in a comfortable place. He is pretty shy in new environments! He is beginning to warm up to the church nursery, but still is not a fan. We drop him off at 9:30 for first class, he may nap for 30 minutes, and then he is usually playing when we pick him up around 12:00. We learned to bring his pacifier (I know this is bad, but it works so I'm going with it), and his pillow pet. I guess he feels more at home with these items.

We got him a car for "Easter" and he LOVES the thing. So far it has been an "in house" car. We really don't go outside much in our neighborhood ;). He just sits in the thing and enjoys every second of it. He tries to stuff his pillow pet in with him and that does not work out to well!

So, you have officially been updated! We love that little guy to pieces, and are enjoying his developing personality by the day. Oh, I forgot to mention that he loves making animal noises! For lion he will roar, dog he will bark, cow he will moo, and horse he will neigh. We pass the farm and he neighs (spelling?!). It is the cutest thing in the world! He also is in LOVE with horses. He says horse A LOT and loves watching them on the I Pad. We find horse movies on Netflix and he loves to sit and watch. He is a natural born cowboy and Katerina loves it ;)

I think..

I think I feel baby..oh wait, that is just bloating and gas! haha! Maybe soon?!!!!!! Come on baby, MOVE IT ;)

I have been pretty bloated this go around. It is pretty annoying because the roundness of my tummy is not baby! Anyway, enough complaining. Writing again at 15 weeks ;)

14 Week Picture

Me:

Baby:

AND IF I had an ultrasound at this point, baby would look like this:

Apparently the arms are about full size but the legs still have growing to do. I thought I MAY have felt baby yesterday. It was brief and still questionable, but it was cool none the less. I really can't wait to feel the baby. That is the BEST part of being pregnant. Waiting for it is killer! Especially when you know how wonderful it feels from the first time ;). Just knowing you have life inside you is amazing! See, I am in a better mood today! haha! Probably because it is Josh and I's SIXTH anniversary. I am really having a hard time believing this fact. SIX YEARS?! Where on earth did that time go. I remember the wedding day so perfectly. My dress is still hanging in the closet! I still have some of my MAC make up (shadows) from that day.. Crazy. This is life though, and God has blessed us tremendously! Below is a picture of true happiness:

How does life get any better than that?! Oh, with another blessing on the way =)Listen to me. The day we got married, in 2005, I didn't want kids. Even for 3 years after that I didn't want kids. Then Gabriel came along (in 2009) and changed our lives for the better. We will have a heritage, and that is the true gift!

Peep & 14 wks

Daddy and I have a new name for our little one. Gabriel in utero was "shrimpy" if you all remember from reading my 2009 blogs. This baby is "Peep," after the cute little Peep Easter Candy! We figure peep size would be about the size of our munchkin at this stage. I'm thinking a pink peep, but I would be happy with blue too..just surprised. Momma instinct is pretty strong!

I am 14 weeks tomorrow and have my next appointment at 16. My sweet tooth has kicked in and I find myself buying chocolate milk at the store. I have also recently brought home Reeces Eggs, twizzlers, and doughnuts! Ha! I should NOT go to the grocery store hungry.. I am often hungry these days although I fill up pretty quick. I remember with Gabriel being a bottomless pit. With this one I'm full quicker and have a lot more bloating. By the end of the day I swear I could be 5 months pregnant. At the beginning, however, its pretty much flat. Weird! I still fit my jeans, and I've gained 3-4 lbs.

My emotions have been pretty stable until this morning. I was watching "Black Beauty" with Gabriel and started to cry at the site of this skinny little horse standing where a beautiful black beast once stood. What is wrong with me?! I guess I started thinking of mistreated animals and people, and it broke my heart. We all go through so much in life and some people (and animals too) have such sad stories. I believe God gave us animals to care for and protect, not abuse and mistreat. The same with people. We, as Christians, are known for our love. I struggle with this so much because Christian love is not the same as this worldly, "fluffy," everyone gets along love. Sometimes you have to tell people the truth and frankly that hurts. My heart is just breaking right now as my sister in law is so lost in sin that she can't even recognize it, because she is so deep into it. Meanwhile other "Christians" are telling her God loves her, she will come out of this stronger with lessons learned, and she is God's child. WHERE ARE THEY GETTING THIS FROM?! If her fruits are ROTTED then how can we say she is Christian?! Don't they understand that they may be appeasing her physical body but they could be sending her to hell?! Why am I so conflicted about this. Why does it seem so clear to me, but not to them. So they think I'm mean and obnoxious for pointing out that she might not be saved! Does Matthew 7:15-20 mean nothing to these people?! Or do they choose to ignore it because their worldview is much stronger than their Biblical one? It is just so sad to me. I am having a hard time with it, especially this morning. Something needs to be done, I just don't know what. Praying for the Lord's guidance. It's not persecution I fear, but making the wrong choices and cutting her to the bone without being able to rejuvenate her. The Lord rejuvenates, but she may not look to Him. I guess there isn't much I can do about her choices though...

Sorry to take a sweet blog and turn it into a depressing one. That is me today. Sweet and conflicted. Thank you pregnancy hormones! Happy 14 weeks, tomorrow.

Mena!

Gabriel said MENA today =). Mena= Mylena in baby talk. I think the SHA started that? So Mylena didn't bother to try to teach him "MYLENA," but instead went straight for the "MENA!" It worked, he said it today. It was adorable!

We went to the consignment sale today and got next to nothing clothes wise. I did end up with a super cute kitchen that Gabriel loves, but I had gone for the clothes we didn't find. I believe the sale was major league picked through by the cosigners, military, and first time moms that got to shop yesterday (BOO).

Does that ticker to the right really say I have a 17 month old?! ECK, where is time going?!

No, No!

Working in the living room at my parent's house I hear this little voice in the kitchen, "no no, no no!" I went to check on him, because I figured if he was telling his own self "no no" something was up. He was indeed doing something I had told him a few days ago NOT to be doing. Unscrewing the lids off moms grain, sugar, etc. buckets (she buys organic products via a coop and stores them in buckets). Then, at home I hear him in the living room opening the living room shelf saying, "no, no" because I had told him yesterday NOT to open it! If I ever second guessed myself and wondered if he really knew what "no, no" meant, I was wrong to do so. He definitely knows what it means! He couldn't have given himself away in a better way ;). I had to write about this because it was super funny! He did get disciplined, but I had to chuckle inside. Sometimes they are so cute you don't want to pop them, but you know as a parent you have to. Most of the times I tell him "no" are to prevent him from getting hurt. He's just the cutest thing ever!

In other news, we did take a few pictures at the zoo =)

More on 12 weeks!

I only posted the video with the heart beat earlier. I wanted to say that this morning was the first that I actually have thrown up being pregnant. I have felt nauseous, and gagged, but never actually threw up until this morning. I think it was all this sickness (flu and now sinus infection) + all the meds. I did get a Zpack today, so I am praying this mess is gone FAST. My food aversions are getting worse, not better. I am STARVING but can't finish a meal. It is so weird. My midwife says the pregnancy is so different because it is a girl ;). She is giving me the girl vibes!

Shelly is my new midwife. I met her today, and she was super nice. She also takes control, so I can imagine her being a great birth coach. I would not mind having Dr. Shutzer again if he was on call. So, it's great because either one will work! I just want the nurses to be nice! Anyway, Shelly saw me today and said I have a perfect birthing pelvis, so we just need the baby to be in the right position. She let me know that she has not seen the same woman have two posterior babes. SO, here is to hoping she is correct and VBAC is in my future! I just want to have the baby in my arms right after delivery, not 3 hours later. That was pitiful to say the least. I am also right on target at 12 weeks. So, in 8 weeks we will have the ultrasound. That seems forever away, but I know it will be here in a flash.

Gabriel is loving the baby heart beat video. He smiles and says, baby! I am not sure if he can truly understand, but it sure seems like he does. I can't wait to see what he does when my belly gets rounder. He is such a blessing to me! Tonight he was my love bunny. He kept crawling on my lap and hugging my head saying, "momma!" He has the flu and an ear infection, so it could be that giving him a hard time. I'll take it though. I love his sweet hugs SO much! I know he will be an excellent big brother =)

I go back to the doctor in April. I'll maybe take a picture next week. I'm still not showing, so there is really no need. Love yall!

11 Weeks!

I was 11 weeks yesterday! I have actually been sick all week (I am pretty positive with the flu) and have worried about the little one. I would feel more comfortable if I could feel the baby. I know I had the same fears last time, but I was never sick last time. I have lost 3 lbs and felt just miserable. I am still not better, but the medicine Josh bought me has helped significantly. He has been such a help, I am thankful to have him! I'll feel better after my appointment on Friday. I can't wait to hear that little heart beat. I hope to get it on camera this time. We had recorded it on a phone with Gabriel, and I can't seem to convert the file to the computer. So, what does a little one look like at 11 weeks:

About the size of a fig. One and a half inches long. What does mommy look like at 11 weeks (not much different)?

I wish I could make up something interesting to say this week, but my head is still fuzzy. Next week I'll post after my appointment. Hopefully with a heart beat =)
