Walking!
Gabriel is now walking more than a few steps =). Today, while we had company, he decided to show off and walk across the kitchen! I'll have to carry the camera around to catch it on video. He also said "baby" today. He was under the table playing with the dogs when he looked up at me and said, "baby!" Like he wanted me to pick up baby. Josh reminded me that Annabelle calls him "baby" all the time, so that could be where he got it? We can't wait to see the cousins tomorrow. They are coming in for the weekend and we hope to go to a corn maze or pumpkin patch! Hopefully pictures of that to come!

Just an update =)
Gabriel is getting over his first cold. It has been so awful watching him struggle with snot, coughing, a low grade fever, and puffy eyes. I debated many times going to the doctor. His fever never went up past 102F, so I decided to wait it out. I'm glad I did because he is doing much better now =). I now know not to call Josh a baby when he is sick because baby Gabriel was A LOT worse than daddy ever was ;) haha!
In other news, Gabriel is now opening drawers, reaching up to the tops of counters, and even plugging USB's into USB ports! I think he will be quite mechanical. He likes to know how everything works. He is walking a few steps now, but usually when he is holding something in his hands (concentrating on something else), or walking to something he knows he can grab onto.
I took a few pics of him just now so everyone can see how big he is getting. His eleventh tooth is on its way in. He has four on the top front, four on the bottom front, a molar on the top left, a canine on the lower bottom, and another canine on its way! I'm happy teething will be over sooner than later! He is doing better with these new teeth though..
We are getting ready for his first birthday in a few weeks. I'll have the family over and take some pictures with a cake. I believe I am going to do a cowboy theme. I didn't want to wear out the jungle theme that I used for his room and baby shower. I'm looking forward to it though! That and fall time =).

Jambbas Ranch, new teeth, and two steps!
It's been a busy couple of weeks! Mr. DG is growing up so fast I can't keep up sometimes. I love to watch him grow, but at the same time I wonder where time has gone? He is now getting a canine and a molar. The poor lil' guys gums look AWFUL. I feel really sorry for him. He is taking it like a champ though. His sleep schedule is slightly off, but I have been going by his cues. When he is CRYING, whether he is being held or not, it usually means he is tired. He also starts rubbing those eyes and sticks a finger in the mouth! It's too cute!
We went to Jambbas Ranch on Labor Day and saw a lot of animals. Gabriel enjoyed feeding them bread =):

The "two steps" in the title represent the two steps Gabriel has been taking on his own =). I won't say he is "walking" yet b/c he has not gathered up enough courage to date. He will walk to someone -or his walker- though. He will take two-three steps on his own to get to hold on to something, but he won't stand up and just start walking just yet. He just stands there and you can see his little feet wanting to move. It won't be long though! My life will change even more ;)
