Almost 10 weeks, baby THREE

I'm almost 10 weeks (Tomorrow will be 10), so I checked my progress from Elizabeth's pregnancy on weight gain (I love my blog!). I am exactly where I was with her and Gabriel. 4-5 lbs gained. I checked because I was feeling pretty hefty! I am more out of shape, but I am lucky to hide it with winter close this go around. Rebecca is bringing a doppler this weekend so hopefully it will pick up baby's heart beat. That would be super cool. I just wanted to document that everything is going great. I'm not really turned off by food this time, so again I'm thinking boy. I've got a pretty strong feeling about that. Josiah. Ya'll help me think of a middle name!

Happy First Birthday Lizzy!

My "busy Lizzy" is ONE YEAR OLD today. I can not believe it! I just wanted to note that she is busy as ever. You can't keep her in a chair (even eating) for more than 5 minutes. She'll drink half her bottle and need a change of scenery, and she is SO close to walking. Seriously a busy and FUNNY girl. Her little personality is just blossoming these days. She is such a cute kid. God has blessed me with such amazing children! You have to watch a video of her walking! This was two days ago and she is even better/faster now. Any day now. Maybe by birthday party day =). Happy Birthday sweet girl!!!! *Cake pics will happen this weekend. We just got her shirt today, so I haven't done them yet ;)

The Kiddos!

I haven't written updates lately on the kids, so I wanted to make a few quick notes. Elizabeth is a STUBBORN and STRONG WILLED child. We will be working on this her whole life I assume. Turn her around from a dog bowl and she crawls right back. It doesn't matter how many times you turn her around, she goes back more and more irritated each time. Tell her "no" and she stiffens up like a board, turns red in the face, and screams at you. It's somewhat cute and amusing to watch a tiny kid get so irritated, but I also know it won't be "cute" when she is a toddler and beyond. Consistency in training her will be the key. I probably should get a book to read on strong willed children. Aside from this she is becoming such a big girl. She loves to laugh for/at Gabriel, loves playing with his toys, and is fairly independent until she gets sleepy. When she is sleepy she only wants to be held. Elizabeth is a few months (probably about 2) behind her brother milestone wise, but she catches up nicely =). She isn't walking yet, but she is standing on her own and walking around furniture. She says "mom" and "dad," but that's about it for now. She enjoys making noises over talking! She growls, blows bubbles, screeches, and more. She is a character!

Gabriel is talking more and more lately. He amazes me with some of the stuff he says. I teach him things and he acts like he's paying zero attention. Then one day he'll line cars up and say, "five." He counted them! He's also got a super memory. You can't sneak anything past him! Don't ever make a promise you don't want to keep with him! I tried to bribe him with different things to go potty, to include a swing set and candy. Now whenever he FINALLY decides to go potty he expects a swing set, candy, air plane (currently sitting on the back of the toilet), and other toys. Believe it or not none of this has been enough to get him to actually "go." I assume one day he will just get it. Or he will stop trying to manipulate us into getting him more things. He'll have a bathroom full of toys before he decides he wants to try and tinkle in the potty!

In baby news. I'm gaining weight, sleeping when I get two seconds to do so, and EATING. I'm SO hungry. I still feel like it's a boy. Face is breaking out and boy is just my general feeling. Josh and I are talking about options for the birth. Home birth vs. hospital birth. The thought of something unforeseen being wrong with baby is what makes us skeptical of home birth. If I go with hospital I'll labor in the chapel of the hospital until I go upstairs to push. One other option is a "hippie" friendly hospital in Sanford in which they allow you to walk around. I still have a few weeks before I have to decide, but I have options..

Until next time!

Baby #3

I have to tell you how the events unfolded. I was timing "NOT" to get pregnant. Let me just tell you that this method isn't full proof (hahaha). Well, it worked for a few months, but I'm apparently a baby making machine ;). So, here I am timing not to conceive and then I'm a day late. I started to wonder but I'm not one to run to the store on my own accord. Texted my sister and sister in law who ANNOYED and BEGGED me to go get a test. I hesitantly did. I bought a cheap one (when I knew I was pregnant with Gabriel and Elizabeth I bought the expensive ones...) because I just knew I wasn't and I didn't want to "waste" the money (again I laugh, ha). So, I ran in from the car with test in hand -without unloading the other groceries-. This is what I got (immediately.. not even the 4-5 minute wait that the box said).

SOO, I wanted to think of a cute way to tell Josh but he pulled up in the middle of my freak out session in the bathroom. Not really a "freak" but heart pumping fast, nerves jolted, and mind going 1,000 miles an hour. I went outside, told Gabriel to tell daddy that we needed a bigger car, and he asks, "what, you peed on the stick?!" (only my husband) I said "yes" and his eyes welled up with tears as a smile snuck on his face. All my fears melted at that moment. I just needed his smile to show me that this was a joyful time. God is working it all out and it's not a time to worry!

I say God is working it all out, but it's quite amazing how He has already arranged our 2013. You have to understand that I PLANNED my other two babies to be birthed in FALL/WINTER! Why you ask? Wedding season! SO, when is this baby due? April 25, 2013. Yea... wedding season. Now you know why I had a minor freak out. So, a quick look at the calendar shows that we have FIFTEEN weddings booked in 2013 already. We have NEVER had that many booked THIS far in advance . I then look at WHEN the weddings are. NONE of them are near my due date! WOW! None of them are even double booked at the beginning of May. So dad, James, and Josh can easily handle weddings booked at the beginning of May (end of April). We also have more February and March weddings than we have ever booked. GOD IS SO AMAZING! HE TRULY SHOWED ME WHO WAS (AND IS) IN CONTROL!!!!!!!!!!

I am in awe of my Lord. I look forward to seeing him work throughout this pregnancy. We need a new car, so pray for guidance in that aspect. I'll keep everyone updated of course!Oh, so far feelings are for a boy but two people have told me they felt it was twins when I told them the news. I am honestly scared for that ultrasound, haha!
