16 weeks is 4 months!

So, I forgot to write last week but this week I have a belly! Josh said to me today, "stop sticking your stomach out" and I honestly told him that I was not sticking it out this time! I'm still in the "guessing stage" of is she pregnant or isn't she, BUT we are getting there. Here is a recent picture dad took of me at the Weymouth Center in Southern Pines:

I like the picture because it is peaceful, and I love the house because of its history! The house brings me back to a time with no television and no gadgets or gizmos; only a serene garden and creaking floor boards. You can almost see the women in the garden having a grand tea party with their beautiful dresses and dainty parasols. I would love to go back and just sit for a while, maybe even read a book. That day, however, we were there for a bridal shoot. I stood in for the bride as dad set the camera for the shot. Not as interesting as a tea party or ball is it?!

On another note, I have a picture of Becca and I pregnant together the day she delivered Annabelle. I wanted the picture for a while and we finally got to take it right before she gave birth. I just wanted the memory of us pregnant together! I was 14 weeks here (almost 15) and she was 40+! I was obviously sticking out my tummy. There was no other way to get the shot and know that I was pregnant too! Time is flying by though! My first ultra sound is May 12th and I pray the baby cooperates so that we can determine its sex.

So what is baby up to? Well he/she is ready for a big growth spirt, which means momma too! I am trying to mentally prepare myself for gaining more weight. So far I'm at 5 lbs. I have never weighed this much in my life, so I have to tell myself daily that it'll be gone soon after baby arrives. I shouldn't complain. I don't want to sound like a whiner, but it is kind of stressful when you want to loose the weight and can't. I am trying to enjoy it, trying not to eat too much junk, and trying to look cute in the clothes that still fit! haha =) The baby should be healthy though and that is my number one goal right now! Here is a picture for this week:

Any day/week now I should start feeling the flutters of the baby moving inside! I am becoming very anxious and excited to feel those movements. It will be nice to be reassured daily that baby is o.k. and still kicking! Well, thats all I have for today, I hope you all have a great week! Love Yall!!!

P.s. Still haven't found out how to put the heartbeat sound clip online but I will!

Have I eaten a lot or is that a baby in there?!

I meant to write last week after my appointment, BUT my sister had other plans for my time! Rebecca went into labor early on Friday and was in the hospital until late Saturday. Annabelle Catherine was born on Friday April 17th at 9:55 p.m., and she is beautiful! We have pictures and video but of course everything will have to be edited before being posted online. I did get some great shots of the delivery and can not wait to share them.

My appointment went really well! I heard our little ones heart beat and Josh recorded it for me =) I thought I would cry in the doctors office, but the moment was so surreal that I just sat there in shock and awe! I did cry upon listening to the video/sound clip for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th...time! If I can figure out how to get it off my phone I will post it on my blog for all to hear!!! My mom also discovered a new test that supposively will determine the sex of my baby. She was looking through the magazines that I received at the OB and found the test I can find at Wal Greens. I don't know how accurate the thing is, but I may try it just for grins and let you all know!!!

I am growing! Yesterday at the bridal show Josh looked at me and said, "I want to touch your belly, its sticking out!" haha! It is definitely easier to let my belly out now than to suck it in. Mom also let me know today that I am losing my waist. I realized that this morning when my belt wouldn't fit, and my tummy looked rather plump in the first shirt I tried on. At this point people would be afraid to ask if I was pregnant or just fat, so I am sticking with the loose fitting shirts for now!

Shrimpy is also growing! On May 12th I will have my first ultra sound and hope to find out the sex. I am sure my tummy will be poking out a bit by that time; I will be 18 weeks. Here is a picture of him/her at 14 weeks:

According to Babycenter.com he/she can now "squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb!" So that is very exciting! I can't wait to see that little face on the ultra sound! Josh is being so wonderful. I think he is also in awe of my growing belly and hearing the heart beat. He has been sharing the heart beat video with his family and friends and can't wait to get it on the computer for everyone!

In other news, I got a diaper bag last week. I couldn't resist this JP Lizzy bag because it looks just like a purse that I would buy:

It came with a matching wrist bag and make up holder. It also has stroller straps, two outer bottle bockets, two inner bottle pockets, interior compartments, and a diaper changing pad. I am happy with my purchase and can't wait to fill it with little baby things!

I am beginning to ramble now, but I can't wait to post some pics at 15 weeks. It will be Thursday or Friday since I waited so long to post the 14 weeks pics! Love Yall =)

13 Weeks!

Soo I am now 13 weeks and only 7 days away from my first appointment!!! This means my next post may be after I see the baby =) I hope to have my free ultra sound at this appointment and pay for the next one. I will also pay for a 3D/4D one! Josh usually has to work at 10:00 a.m., and my appointment is at 9:00 a.m., so I am praying they get to the heartbeat/ ultrasound stuff while he is there. I don't think the whole baby thing has sunk in for him yet. I am not showing much so I can see why its unreal for him. Well, here is a picture you can see for yourself:
This picture sort of lies because I have my hand around my waist, but I can see a little bump there. So what does baby look like? He/she looks more human everyday! I wasn't lying about the Shrimp either, this is a picture to show a babies size at 13 weeks:

And here is a larger scale picture of what he/she actually looks like:

I don't have much else for ya this week on the baby. In other news, Josh got his bike back from the painter and it looks really really good! I will have to post some pictures of it. He got some cool ones today outside mom and dad's house. I worry about him sometimes, but he is doing what he loves to do...

I am excited because dad got a new camera today! It is our first "professional" camera and it is really amazing! Our work is really going to excell with the new camera; I can't wait to use it! I am happy that we will have it for my pregnancy and newborn pics =) Becca is also due any day now, so we will get lots of practice on little AnnaBelle. I will be in the room when she gives birth to AnnaBelle, and look forward to taking a few pics of her as she enters the world. I have watched both of Becca's previous births, but I am thinking it will take on a whole new meaning now that I am pregnant! Now I will think of the pain I am in for in the not too distant future!!! I'll live, its just scary to think about sometimes!!!

Well, I can't wait to be in touch next week. Hopefully I will have some ultra sound pictures to show off! Maybe we will even find out the sex? One of Becca's friends told me she found out the sex of her son at 14 weeks. Sooo cross your fingers and say a little prayer! Love Yall!!!!

P.s. This is the last week of my first trimester. Next week will be the official start of the second trimester =) So I am excited about that!!!

12 Weeks = 3 months!!! Time is going to fly!

Mom, Becca, and I had a busy week this week! Becca had her baby shower on Wednesday, so on Tuesday we spent our time at "Tiny Town" baby boutique here in Fayetteville. I saw a bed set that I would like to copy, a giant giraffe I want for the nursery, and a few other baby items I know I'll be back for once I know the sex of our little one. I guess first off I will post the picture of my twelve week belly for everyone who wants to see me getting "thicker!" I can still fit all my clothes but I can tell that they are tighter around the waist. The next photo is a close up of my tummy. I promise it is growing, its just hard to tell with my shirts on right now! Apparently the little shrimpy has reflexes this week! My Babycenter.com updater says that he/she can now move its hands and feet and even squirm away from me if I prod my stomach. I of course can not feel it yet but I can't wait until then! Here is a picture of what he/she looks like this week:

Also, I have pictures of the bedding and giraffe that I found! I know its a lot of pictures for one blog but I am pretty excited to share a few ideas. Mom and I hope to make the comforter itself, so there are a few things that I would like to change. I would like to have a solid color around the rim of the comforter and possibly his embroidered name. Obviously if its a girl the safari theme won't work. If I have a girl I am going with Shabby Chic, but I will think about that later ;). I love the animals though with the safari theme. I love the monkey rug and I love all the textures on the comforter. The animals are 3D and have ears, mane, etc. that stand out from the blanket.
So here is the comforter and the life size giraffe I found:
Let me know what you think! I LOVE the giraffe so that will be a definite whether I have a boy or a girl, but the comforter is subject to change. I'll be in touch at 13 weeks (next Thursday). I only have 2 more weeks until my first appointment and hopefully ultrasound too!!!!! I can't wait, I pray that they possibly will be able to find out the sex at 14 weeks. It happened for Amy so why not me too?! Love yall!!!
