I wanted to post a few pictures of Gabriel today because he looks SO cute (in my opinion) in his new outfit from JC PENNY. I really love the American Living clothes and they always have sales!
Anyway, we went to church today and for the past two Sunday's Gabriel has been SO good sitting through the sermons. He sat on Jonathan's lap the majority of the time and didn't make a peep. This is great because I plan to have him in the service as much as possible. I truly believe that children should learn what the parent's are learning so it can be explained later. Not getting into that now..
Gabriel has his 9 month doctor appointment this Friday. I am requesting two vaccinations for him, the DTaP and Hib. These two can be ordered without a combination and have some of the lowest side effects. I decided on HIB because, although VERY rare, it is deadly and easily transmitted. It is also one of the safest vaccines made with a saline solution. The DTaP I chose only because of the Pertussis. There is currently an outbreak in California and could easily spread across the US. Although not generally deadly at Gabriel's age, it is very dangerous for babies under two months and I want to make sure he doesn't get it and potentially spread it to an infant. The Diptheria and Tetanus components are not really worrisome to me at Gabriel's age (because Tetanus is more of a teen disease and Diptheria does not really exist in the US - only 5 cases per year in the USA-). Anyway, if your wondering what the safest brands are, I read in the Dr. Sears book that the Sanofi Pasteur Act HIB is safest for HIB, and Deptacel brand is safest in the DTaP vaccination. The Deptacel shot has the middle ground amount of Aluminum but does not use animal or human tissue in the culture. All have a bit of Formaldehyde, which I don't like, BUT there isn't much at all.. only about 100 micro grams. SOO there is an update on the shots =).
