The Lost Maternity Pictures!

As a photographer I don't get to edit my own pictures as often as I would like. SO, we took maternity pictures and I never got a chance to edit them. People with kids know how surreal the time is after baby arrives. I enjoyed that time and then it was time to jump into wedding season. Anyway, as we begin trying for another baby I REALLY wanted to get my maternity pics done. Here they are at 39 weeks pregnant with David Gabriel!

One Year PHOTOS!

I went downtown and took Gabriel's one year photos. They turned out better than I thought they would. I was worried because Gabriel kept running from me and wouldn't look in my direction. I don't think there is one that he is looking at the camera! Anyway, here is the link to see them all:

And a small sampling:

Blogger just stopped uploading, so you'll have to check out the link for more. Enjoy them!!!

Shot 1

SOO Gabriel got his first shot today. He got the Tripedia brand DTaP shot. This brand has the least aluminum and I was happy that the doctor had it. Gabriel did well, only cried for a few minutes, and has acted fairly normal since the shot. He has had no side affects that I can tell. I'm glad it wasn't an awful experience, I would have blamed myself. Continuing to pray it's the right thing. I chose this vaccine because of the Pertussis component. I was afraid if Gabriel got the virus (although probably not deadly to him at his age), he could spread it to an infant and potentially kill the infant. Before the age of two months babies are highly susceptible to Pertussis and often die after catching it. Anyway, I did it for my future babies and everyone else. I am also considering PC and HIB. These two bacterium are highly contagious. Although they rarely cause a severe problem, like meningitis, it is a possibility that a simple infection could turn dangerous. Anyway, more to come on that decision... Just thought I would fill everyone in! No pictures, he tore the band aid off already ;).

Eating...

So I know the books would like me to let my one year old feed himself, but that is TORTURE (o.k. so maybe not torture, but a lot more work!) for me! Here is the outcome:

I'm not all that excited about it! Next time I'll feed him the Ravioli. He can stick with food without sauces ;)

Monkey

I usually don't post two blogs in one day, but this one is for you Rachel:

Gabriel devoured this in less than 5 minutes! He'll challenge you Ray to a banana eating contest ;)

Helping Mommy

I am LOVING this little guy so much! He loves to play, point at things, and talk to daddy on the phone. Gabriel now picks up phones (and anything else that could be a phone) and talks to daddy. It is the cutest thing ever! He has actually been more cuddly with me too. I am lovin' it! Here he is getting tickles from me this morning:

Oh, and the best part about his age.. He is helping me out now!

Cleaning up daddy's electronics!!!

Wall Art

I wanted to share this super cool wall art (link below)! This would be a great idea for my next baby, since I seriously doubt "DG" will let me spend as much time painting another room as I did with his! P.s. Josh and I are trying now =)!! I have been having a few problems lately, and it has really scared me thinking about the possibility of not being able to have another baby. Anyway, it is almost like God telling me that I can't plan everything. Some things have to be left up to him and His timing. Anyway, I'll keep everyone updated!!!

AHH! LIZARD!

The girls went crazy and screamed when Josh and Gabriel came in with a lizard! Gabriel told them to "chill" because he has things covered:

Silly girls..it doesn't hurt when he bites:

Haha! My super chill baby! Not afraid of anything. He just stared at the thing latching on to his hand! He is still sick (thus the purple eyes), but brave! Mylena almost stomped the poor little thing. Josh threw it on her and she went running! I said, "STOP, GO OUTSIDE" and she freaked because she didn't know it was still on her! Probably a had to be there kind of moment!

Also, this is what Gabriel likes to do at grandma's house now:

Stand by the window AND:

Watch the dogs outside =). Pray for our little man to feel better.. Until next time!

Little Nemo

Our little Nemo had a great time during his first Trick or Treat Halloween! I thought he would get loads of candy, b/c he was too cute, instead the parents looked at me and gave me one piece for the bag. One lady said, "this is for mommy." I also got a lot of non peanut M&M's because they said he could eat those! haha! Maybe we just went to the wrong neighborhood this year. The Rodger girls say a lot of dentists live in their neighborhood... Next year I think we may just stick to ours! Young soldier types will gladly give a hand full of candy to a just turned two year old. Not like we need the candy at all! We had a great time just walking around and enjoying the cool weather! Here are a few pics of our little guy!

He is now sick with a cold. It is the WORST thing ever to have a drooling baby with snot running down his face grabbing onto your legs and whining/crying whether you have picked him up or not! I can't wait for the sickness to pass.. I feel really bad for him. I really hate this... UGH!
