One Month Stats!

Gabriel had his one month appointment today and the doctor says, "all numbers look GREAT!" Gabriel is growing beautifully! He is now 9 lbs 12 ounces (I can't believe the little guy is almost 10 lbs!) and 22 inches long. Also, here are a few firsts during the first month:

*Holding head up and looking around in all directions
*Tracking toys and faces with his eyes
*Cooing! Gabriel Cooed at great grandpa Lee while in the mountains (November 2009)
*Smiling!!! Gabriel first smiled deliberately for daddy but has since smiled for me and great grandpa

I can't believe he is one month but look forward to sooooo many more!!!!

One Month

It is hard to believe but Gabriel is now one month old! His official one month appointment is tomorrow at 11:00 a.m.. I can not wait to see how much he weighs. I know he is definitely heavier, and he is eating like a little piggy! Right now he is screaming in his crib and it is breaking my heart. Until now I have carried him 24/7, but I have been informed by many people that I need to break that habit! I understand he needs to know how to soothe himself but I like to be the one who soothes him. I will have to go get him soon!!! I am not ready to let him sleep the night in the crib so the plan is to get him used to it gradually. In other news we just got back from vacation in Boone! We had a great time with great grandma, great grandpa, and Gabriel's great great aunt Joan. It was a very relaxing trip and we can not wait to go back!!!!!

My first wedding is this weekend and I think I will be heart broken. I have been pumping milk so that I do not have to give Gabriel formula. So far my milk supply has kept up very well which is amazing! God is truly amazing that he created a mother with the capability to sustain life! Anyway, I am going to go grab Gabriel before I go nuts (its been about 45 minutes now). Here are a few recent pictures:
3 weeks, first bath! He liked it once I figured out he was chilly and put a wash cloth over him. I probably won't use this tub again though. Gabriel and I took a bath together and he liked that MUCH better because I could keep him warm.

David Gabriel in Daddy's Helmet!

Soo I thought this picture was AMAZING and too cute not to share =0). This is David Gabriel in his daddy's helmet at around 2 weeks of age. I found that babies are great to take pictures of during their "sleepy time!" Dad and I wondered how these professionals were always getting sleepy baby pictures because we always seemed to get the awake babies. Well the trick is to determine when the infant's "sleepy time" is and take photos then. At that time the babies are mold able and it makes the photographers job EASY! Anyway, so here is the pic:
We love that little guy so much!

Love,
Sarah B.

Birth Pictures!

I figured it would be easier to post the birth pictures in a new blog instead of inserting the pictures within the other blog. SOOO here they are!!!!
This can be my 40 week picture! I was admitted into the hospital because my water broke and I was having contractions very close.
Hooked up to all the machines! I have two monitors on my belly, one on my finger, an IV with antibiotics for the Group B and Ringers Lactate, an arm cuff, and an epiderul! Wow!
I love this one of Josh kissing my forehead! He was very attentive to my needs, such a great husband I have =0).
mom feeling the contraction with me...
Hmm...when are you coming out little guy?!
Ready for surgery around 9:45 p.m. on October 15th!
