I have had to put socket covers in the electrical sockets AND buy drawer/cabinet latches. I told you the lil' one was moving, but he is now getting into everything! He loves crawling to new places and seeking out new finds! Here is a video (if it will actually load) of him crawling with the frog. He is having a little bit of a hard time here because of the pants but it was still super cute!
I am also feeding Gabriel a lot more solid food, to include: Peas, carrots, bananas, cheerios, rice cereal, sweet potatoes and puffs, chicken and other meat combo dinners, and fruits. He is really enjoying all the new tastes but never eats A LOT of one thing. He mostly gets full on formula. My breast milk production is decreasing because of his annoyance with the "flow speed." He is so accustomed to sucking down a bottle in a minute, or two, that he gets aggravated with me when I try to feed him. I am sad about this, especially when I read how great breast milk is, but I am glad that I was able to feed him during the time that he REALLY needed it the most.
I don't believe I ever uploaded the pictures of him standing in the crib. Now when we go to get Gabriel in the morning he is standing up waiting on us. It is the cutest thing ever! Josh says when he gets him he often has an arm slung over the side rail! I have not seen this yet ;). I think the lil' one will be walking by ten months.. He pulls himself up on his "walking toy," which is a little alligator toy mom got him last Christmas, and actually takes steps. He does let is get a little ahead of him after about two steps, but I think he'll get it within the next two months or so. Its still incredibly hard for me to believe he will be a year old in just 4 months!
In other news, Josh and I took Gabriel to VA over Memorial Day Weekend to visit with our friends (The Mackey's). I REALLY loved seeing Gabriel and Ender play together and PRAY that they move back here to Raleigh town!!! It made me want a play partner for Gabriel!!! He needs a brother or sister to keep him grounded (i.e. not spoiled!). I'll have those pictures soon..I promise I'm working on them! I can only edit when dad is not on his computer because his is the only editing computer we have... Josh and I are considering a IMAC for me to stay home and edit. It is getting increasingly hard to go over mom and dad's for work. Gabriel just can not be contained anymore, and there are too many hazards in our work environment (cameras, cords, computer buttons, etc.). So, we are debating the expense right now but it seems like a must. I may be lonely at home all day at first but I'm sure I'll adjust. Especially if/when I have two munchkins running around..later!
O.k. the video is STILL loading! I was trying to type the whole time it loaded, but I am running out of things to write. I would write about Gabriel's "pee shudder" but that might be embarrassing for him ;)~. haha! It is kinda cute though.. sometimes when he pees he does a little shimmy shake. I was worried at first but I've read on the Internet that it is perfectly normal for a lot of men..they just don't talk about it much. Leave it to mom to spill the beans! haha!
Until next time....
