Glucose Pass!

Ok, so I passed my glucose test this time. I fasted and requested the one hour test again. With a little resistance they allowed me to take the one hour test again. We will see if I get a bill....I actually passed with a really low number. SO the bagel most definitely raised my blood sugar. I have gained 19 lbs, so I'm about 4 lbs heavier than I was with Elizabeth. I think Josiah will be a little bigger of a baby (hopefully not MUCH bigger....). Looks like I'll be in the 30 lb weight gain this go around. Not too terrible I guess. 27 week pic to come, just wanted to document that I didn't have to take the 3 hour test.

Glucose Fail.

This morning I woke up at 7 (2 hours earlier than "normal") and went to the OB. On the way there I had a bagel with cream cheese and water. At the doc they gave me a Hershey Bar, sat me in the waiting area for an hour, and then took my blood and pricked my finger. I then found out I had failed the 1 hour glucose test. Yuck. The cut off was 140 and I was at 147. SO, three hour glucose test and fasting for me next Tuesday (again at 8 am). I'm already planning to bring my computer and designing a wedding album. I have books but it makes me more tired to read them that early! I'll probably sleep too. They should have a private room for such cases ;). Praying now that I don't have gestational diabetes. I never had a problem with the other two kiddos, but I guess I am a little older now and each pregnancy is different. I'm hoping it was the bagel/cream cheese that pushed me over the "edge." We will see. Just pray for me and that I don't have gestational diabetes please. The last thing I want is a huge baby....

25 weeks!

I'm 25 weeks, go to the doc tomorrow for a glucose test, and feel good lately! No more break down emotional, "I can't do this," moments lately. I didn't want the new year to start, but now that it's here I'm ready for 2013. I'm beginning to nest and feel anxious that I really haven't done anything to prepare for Josiah's arrival. I believe this is because I have all the little stuff. I no longer need swings, diaper bags, baby wipes, etc., etc.. I'm a veteran momma to both a boy and girl! The things I need this time are much bigger. A new car and technically a bigger house (although that is a want and not a "need" at this point). So, every day I start my morning on Autotrader.com. I've just found that they have the best deals. SO, I search for a Honda Pilot or Honda Odyssey. My heart is pretty set on a Pilot. Nothing against mini vans, but I never could see myself in one. At this point in my life I would be willing to drive one, but if I can find a Pilot it will be awesome =). I guess I'm just a little more rugged than the mini van. I like to "drive." This is why I am a little upset I'll be giving up my 5 speed. Yes, my Jeep has a stick shift and I love it. I guess I'll be trading the stick for a slightly bigger engine, so it should be all good. I will also have Josh's car. I hope he always has a sporty car. This way I can hang up the keys to the momma mobile every now and again and take a drive in the country on the curvy backroads! Anyway, enough dreaming....Tomorrow I face the scale. Yikes is in order gauging by the cellulite on my butt and thighs. Haha. I can not wait to get back in shape. Maybe we can even stay not pregnant for a little over a year this time ;).

My last preggo pic on the blog was 20 weeks (yes I have 2 kids and a job, sooo...you do the math). Here is a quick catch up: Week 22:

Week 23:
Week 24:
Week 25:
It was in the 70's this weekend (temperature), so I was VERY happy in my maxi dress. Makes me feel much better when I can slip that on instead of jiggling into some pants and pinning them together with a rubber band. Oh getting fat is so fun! (just FYI I'm half joking with these comments...I DO actually enjoy being pregnant. Just have to laugh at myself sometimes).

So, what's up with the other two? Growing like weeds! Liz is getting her molars, is stubborn as a mule, and wild as a cat. Gabriel is getting HUGE, talks SO good, and reasons like a super intelligent boy. It is absolutely amazing what he remembers, and the comments he makes via deductive reasoning always get me. Ask the kid about his colors and he gets them wrong each time. Ask him to tie a knot, where God lives, how a bird flies, etc. and he's got an answer. He also watches closely as I drive and knows the routes to home, grandmas house, Target, and a few others. Liz Beth has a lot to learn from big bro. She won't take his bullying though. That girl is a firecracker. She will growl at him face to face in a second (literally...this is a moment I want to catch on video). My strong willed little girl. She will learn soon that momma and dad are in charge. She gets away with a little bit right now, but I think that is because she is so darn tiny. Twenty pounds to be exact. She is following in her bro's footsteps in about the 25 percentile. At least my kids are super balanced. Height/weight/head circumference are all in the 25-50% range. They are both growing up too fast....

Here are a few catch up pics of the little guys:

I would post more but my upload is being silly. Maybe I'll update after the glucose test. I would complain but I get to eat a chocolate bar and sit for an hour and read (in peace), so I think I'll actually look forward to tomorrow!
