18 Weeks

With all the excitement I forgot to post an 18 week pic.

Then here is a comparison pic of my two pregnancies. The lettering is backwards because I flipped the picture, but the top of the image has Gabriel and Elizabeth. I am definitely a little more round.

I still fit my jeans which is weird, but maybe I am carrying her higher? That could possibly be why I feel her less, because she hasn't filled up the larger portion of my stomach. Gabriel was so low that I felt him constantly. That would make sense though because that is a smaller area to work in/around/whatever. Just a theory. I'll have to look it up on the Internet later.

Anyway, I'll wait until week 19 to write more since I wrote so much already this week =)

Ultrasound Pics!

Our Elizabeth Kate already looks to be chubbier than her brother! It definitely could be a difference in the ultrasound, but here is a picture to compare:

I can't wait to meet her! This pregnancy has definitely been different. I can now say that I would rather be pregnant with a boy than a girl ;). For me anyway! I guess the hormones are just different for different people?! Anyway, I know the outcome (baby) will bring me the same joy. That is what matters! Man am I on cloud nine right now!!!! Now I won't care what baby 3 is because I'll have both ;)!!!!

Elizabeth Kate!

Mommy intuition was correct again! PEEP is a GIRL =). The appointment started with Lizzy in a ball with her legs crossed. We thought, "great this won't happen today," but when my breakfast and Pepsi kicked in she was rolling around! Everything looks great. We got to see her brain, her heart, her bones, everything. The picture between the legs wasn't as clear as Gabriels, but the tech said definitely a girl. She saw 4 chambers to her heart but didn't get an actual picture, so I go back for another ultrasound at my next appointment. YES! I honestly believe she could have gotten a clear picture, but she is being nice and letting me have another ultrasound ;). Whether it will be "free" or not is the next question. From the bill it looks like I'll pay another $150.00, but it wasn't my fault (or at my request) so I can't see paying that...

The moments in the ultrasound room are so surreal. I didn't want to cry until I was walking down the hallway with daddy (hubby). I am sure when we see each other tonight a few tears will be shed. I love that man dearly! I wish he didn't have to go to work after the appointment, but I am so thankful he was able to go this time. Gabriel also got to see the baby! He was such a good boy during the whole thing.

Right now Elizabeth is due on September 24th. My babyhopes.com calculations say September 22nd, so we will see. A few days won't matter a hill of beans, and she will come when it is time. I guess I am just paying close attention since Gabriel was born on his due date.

After the appointment mom, Mylena, and I went shopping. We didn't get a whole lot of things because Liz will be born at the beginning of Fall. Three months after birth it will be Christmas, which means 0-3 month clothes should be Winter, not Spring dresses (although I was tempted bc they are SO cute)! Gabriel fit the measurements pretty accurately, so I'm not expecting a big baby this time either. This means Spring dresses will only work in the NB size. Anyway, I'm just going to put off clothes shopping until July/August when the Fall things arrive. For now I will concentrate on her room. We will be turning Josh's office into a girls room! I am envisioning periwinkle =). I can't wait! Shabby Chic it will be!!!!!

Well, here are some pictures of our exciting morning!!!!

17 Weeks!

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart..."- Jeremiah 1:5

I find it absolutely amazing that God forms human beings in the womb of a mother. The intricacy in which He does this baffles even the most educated of doctors. Thousand page books are written on cells! Just imagine how AMAZING God is to form a baby out of two cells. How in 9 months time this baby has everything it needs for life outside the womb, and will grow into an adult. All of this is outstanding to me! I know this is why I love Biology so much. Because it helps me to stop and pause at the wonders of my creator. When we believe, as humans, to understand something, and in two months time our beliefs all change, it really puts things into perspective. Only the creator knows!

All of this astonishment stems from the little flutters of life in my body! Josh was able to feel "Peep" move for the first time last night, and I feel her/him stronger each day. Our little one will come greet us in just a short period of time, and we will love her/him SO much! I can not wait for Gabriel to feel the baby. He knows there is a baby in my stomach, although he can't fully understand it. He just knows to lift up my shirt, point to my growing tummy, and say "baby!" His face lights up at the word! That amazes me too. It is almost ingrained in us the importance of life. The importance of a baby! That is unless you are me and you realize it later in life, ha ;). I had to pinch myself just now. Call me stubborn or selfish, but I realize the importance of it now, and it has stolen my heart!

Here I am at 17 weeks:

And baby:

I am so excited about next week I can hardly contain myself...Stay tuned for the "Peeps" gender!

Pink or Blue Peeps?!

The PEEPS are purchased and the verdict will be in soon =). NINE (well technically 8 since today is pretty much spent) days until we find out -granted Peep cooperates with us-! I'll post a picture of my belly with a pink Peep or a blue Peep on that day. It is the 20th in case you can't count ;)

I am feeling Peep more and more lately and it is the most spectacular feeling in the world. I don't want to rush this pregnancy any more...After the 20th anyways! I want to feel every kick, roll, and hiccup. Then I would LOVE to give birth vaginally and hold my baby right after delivery! I am going to be stubborn about going to the hospital this time AND about the epidural. I think the epidural slows labor slightly and without Pitocin this could send me directly into another C-section. I am just hoping, but of course I'll accept the birth either way. Both ways get me a baby! I just don't want them to ever tell me how many I can have. I hear it is 3 c-sections before it gets scary. What if I want 4?! So, here is to trying one more time!

Stay tuned for more on PEEP!

16 Weeks!

I'll officially be 16 weeks tomorrow, but I don't think much will change between now and then ;). I had an OB appointment today in which I found out I had gained 7lbs (thus far). I believe the chicken biscuit, hash brown, and ice coffee that I ate on the way to my appointment + jeans, may have contributed to this number. I feel like I could gain more this go around! I did, however, lose weight at the end last time, so it is hard to tell!? I am STARVING right now as I type. I am waiting for Gabriel to wake up so we can eat lunch. Baby Center says I should get ready for a growth spurt, and I think I'm feeling it already! haha! "In the next few weeks, your baby will double his weight and add inches to his length. Right now, he's about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces."

Baby has a heart beat of 160 and my ultrasound is scheduled for April 20th!!!! We hopefully will find out if Peep is a boy or girl at 9:00 a.m. on that day =). I am SO excited. I know the next two weeks will go by FAST and I'll try not to think about it.

I need to get my butt walking. I was worn out at the last 6 hour wedding. I am definitely in need of some exercise. That should help my weight gain too! Nothing much else to report for now. Gabriel is waking up from his nap and we are heading outside (his favorite place ever!). God is so awesome. I'm so happy I got to hear baby's heart today!!!!

Movin' Peep!

SOO the day after my last blog I felt our Peep! I just felt her/him and it reminded me to blog it =). I'm SO excited and can't wait to feel this little one more and more!
